Aloha from Kapalua!

This past month, the Kapalua Resort hosted the first annual Kapalua LPGA Classic.  With friendly and accessible players, several vantage points throughout the resort, and its location at the very walkable Bay Course, many spectators commented on how much fun this tournament was to follow.  Morgan Pressel, who took the win in this inaugural event with an incredible 15 foot putt, took time out of her schedule to give a private clinic for Kapalua Realty friends and clients.  I had the opportunity to attend, and really enjoyed it, though I don't think my game improved much!

In resort news, the Ritz-Carlton Residences® at Kapalua Bay are at approximately 80% completion, with an anticipated opening date of May 30, 2009.  Most of the remaining work is interior finishing and landscaping.  The construction has progressed to a point where you can really get a sense of the floorplan and the view from each unit.  It's truly a spectacular location.  I took this photo just this past week, on a morning walk around the resort. 

In real estate news, we have seen several new listings at highly desirable and saught-after locations since the last update.  The rare opportunities include two new Coconut Grove listings, a spectacular beachfront home at Kapalua Place, a 75 acre parcel in Plantation Estates II (potentially subdividable into 8 homesites with county/KRA approvals), and new estate homes at the Plantation Estates and Honolua Ridge.

With continued low interest rates and increasing selection of properties, the Kapalua Resort has real estate options ranging from condominiums to homes to homesites.The market update follows below.
