Aloha and Happy Holidays from Kapalua!

One of my favorite annual events marks the start of the Holiday Season here in the Kapalua Resort:  the Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.  This year, the ceremony will be held on December 3rd at 5:00 pm, with music by one of Hawaii's legends, Henry Kapono.  The landscaped grounds of this spectacular hotel are lit by thousands of tiny white lights, which will sparkle all month long. 

While at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, you may want to schedule a visit to the new environmental and educational center, which hosts the Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ambassadors of the Environment program.  Excursions for children, families, and adults alike are led by expert naturalists.  Whether hiking on one of the Kapalua Resort's trails or snorkeling along the shoreline, the Ambassadors Program is designed to teach us about Hawaii's ecosystems and the relationships between our island's seas, mountains, and inhabitants.  For more information, call: 808-665-7292.

In Kapalua Resort real estate news, the following is an MLS activity update for the month of November:  over the last 30 days, there were 13 new listings, ranging from a low of $575,000 for a Golf Villa one-bedroom to a high of  $12,000,000 for an estate home in Honolua Ridge II.  There have been 18 price changes, with 16 listings lowering in price, and two increasing (a lot in Pineapple Hill and an Ironwood).  Two sales recorded: an oceanfront Coconut Grove residence for $4,700,000 and a lot in Pineapple Hill Estates at $1,100,000.

With continued low interest rates and increasing selection of properties, the Kapalua Resort has real estate options ranging from condominiums to homes to homesites. The market update follows below.
