Ritz Carlton Residences at Kapalua BayNew Maui Developments

In the past few years, a number of new luxury and resort developments have been introduced to the island of Maui.  The following is a brief overview of some of the latest and best offerings on the island.  Let me be your guide, and help you find your new Maui home.

Honua Kai, Kaanapali
At the north end of Ke'kaa beach is the new Intrawest development, Honua Kai.  This new resort features two condominium towers, Hokulani and Konea, with studio, one, two and three bedroom residences. Honua Kai condominiums offer beachfront living on one of the world’s finest beaches, with luxurious amenities and appointments.

Both towers are currently under construction, with the South Tower scheduled to complete in early 2009.  Honua Kai is home to approximately 625 condominiums and 75 townhomes located on this  rare forty-acre beachfront site. Planned amenities include a beachside restaurant, boutique spa, three spectacular pools, stream, gardens and waterfalls.  The upscale Aina Gourmet Market will open in January, 2009, and will provide garden fresh produce, sundries, and in-suite dining.  The market and catering, will be operated by the owners of Pacific O' and I'O restaurants. 

Baccarat Wailea

Maluaka, Makena
Located just past Wailea in Makena, Maluaka is Maui's newest luxury residential community, with incredible ocean and coastal views from 11 oceanfront acres.  The vision for Maluaka is to seek LEED certification for the clubhouse and the residences (LEED is the nationally accepted standard for the design, construction and operation of green buildings and developments).  The focus is on sustainability, health, water savings, energy efficiency, and indoor/outdoor environmental quality.  

Ownership at Maluaka includes an opportunity for membership in the Club at Maluaka. The Clubhouse location is simply spectacular, and member, adventure excursions, and ala carte services will be available to its members.  Maluaka is surrounded by Makena's South Course, which was originally developed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.  In developing the current renovation plan for the South Course, Mr. Jones and his team has joined with landscape architect, Pinnacle Design Company.  Plans are to incorporate the advances in golf technology with a focus on environmental sustainability.

Royal Lahaina Villas, Kaanapali
Update: At this time, the property is in pre-sales.  The developer requires a specific number of reservations before any construction will begin.

Located on 27 acres along Maui's treasured Ke'kaa beach, this is one of the most spectacular locations available.  Plans call to redevelop this historic hotel into a low-density resort development.  There are just 126 residences planned, ranging from two to four bedrooms, and approximately 1798-5757 sq. ft.  Planned amenities include a private owner's beach club, jet service, pool and beachside service, housekeeping, spa and fitness, and concierge services.
