MALA OCEAN TAVERN

MALA OCEAN TAVERN | Kona Lobster Ceviche

Driving along Front Street in Lahaina, I often see people with t-shirts emblazoned with "Practice Aloha." This is the credo of Mala Ocean Tavern.

Set in an idyllic little building right on the water overlooking Mala Wharf, this island style tavern is known for healthy dishes.  Mala's mission is small plates, organic whenever possible, whole grains, no preservatives, no hydrogenated oils and everything in proportion.

This is one of my favorite spots for a weekend brunch.  They serve amazing Chilaquiles and their "Killer" French Toast.  At night, this is one of Lahaina's favorite gathering spot, with a laid-back, yet hip, bar scene, and incredible tapas and dinner fare.  You may get lucky and catch one of Maui's spectacular sunsets from their oceanfront dining lanai.

You can visit Mala Ocean Tavern in Lahaina and Wailea.  Chef-Owner Mark Ellman shares their Kona Lobster Ceviche with us.
