Aloha from Kapalua!

There's quite a bit to update you on this month, with announcements in real estate, Kapalua Resort golf and island news:
In real estate news, the Ritz Carlton Kapalua began the extensive renovation that will transform the right wing of the hotel into 107 one and two bedroom whole ownership condominium suites, as well as renovate the lobby area and the existing hotel rooms. We anticipate that the developer will begin taking reservations as early as October, and the sales event is tentatively slated for the first week of December. Please let me know if you'd like to be updated as further information is made available.
For the next six purchasers of a Residence at Kapalua Bay, the summer sales incentive is still in effect, offering an Affiliate Level membership with Exclusive Resorts (approximately a $250,000 value). This program runs until September 30, 2007. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or for a current list of available properties.
In Kapalua Resort Golf News, the LPGA announced that it will be adding a third Hawaii tour. The Kapalua LPGA classic will be played in October, 2008 at the Kapalua Bay Course. Additionally, LPGA player Morgan Pressel has been named as Kapalua's new LPGA touring professional. Morgan has had seven top 10 finishes in 2007 and is currently ranked sixth by the Rolex Women's Golf Ranking.
For those foodies here on Maui, the Maui News just reported that Whole Foods will be opening one of its upscale natural and organic food supermarkets in late 2008/early 2009 in the old Star Market location at Maui Mall in Kahului. The chain typically emphasizes products from local farmers.

NEW DEVELOPMENT:
 
Village at Kapalua:
Conceptual plans for the Village at Kapalua are underway, finally turning the vision of a village center into reality. At the top of the property where the plantation manager's home once stood (Pineapple Hill Restaurant), will be the Fleming House at Maka'oi'oi. This plantation style home will provide meeting rooms, a library, pool complex, and areas for social gatherings. The upper floors will be gracefully appointed condominium homes. Adjacent buildings will provide approximately 47 one, two and three bedroom condominiums. The Villas at Royal Lahaina is a new project at a fantastic beach, Kekaa, the other side of Kaanapali's famous black rock. Makena/Wailea:
